I really feel sorry for R&B group Day26 for a few reasons. They are another casualty of a Bad Boy Records artist. Critics and fans have unfairly compared them to 112, Bad Boy’s first and successful R&B group. Let’s face it, 112 is lightyears ahead in talent over Day26. The group fired its most interesting group member Qwanell “Que” Mosely. They have released two album to very little fanfare. They are a quintet but sound like a soloist dubbed five times over. In a nutshell, does Day26 deserve a third chance for a hit album or a huge radio single? Apparently, their record label Atlantic Records think so.
A new song entitled “Angel,” by Day26, has leaked. Call it another mediocre song in their repertoire. It really sounds like a throwaway Boyz II Men song from the 1990s.
